"In the spring of 1799, Benjamin Green, a revolutionary soldier, and his son - in - law, Richard Pitzer, left Allegheny county, Maryland, to settle in the Northwest Territory. On reaching the neighborhood of Marietta, they decided to remain there a year and raise a crop, thus postponing , for a brief period, their removal further westward. Early in the spring of 1800 they removed their families to Shawnee run, locating about two miles east of the junction of the North and South forks of the Licking, on the farm once owned by Hon. Wm. O'Bannon. Here they remained two years, when they purchased land upon Hog's run, within the present limits of Licking township, and removed to this land. (A full account of these two pioneers will be found in a history of that township, as their lives , and that of their families, were mostly spent there. Mr. Pitzer died therein 1819.)
The Greens had a family of fourteen children, eleven of whom were born before their arrival at Shawnee run.
John Green , one of the sons, was an extensive contractor on the Ohio canal, and removed to Ottawa, Illinois. He lead an active, industrious life, and acquired a large fortune. Issac, another son, was a man of much intelligence and worth, who represented Licking county several terms in the legislature being elected in 1841 and 1842. Richard died in 1872, aged eight -seven, having been seventy - two years a resident of this county. He was the canoe - boy of the Muskingum in 1800, and lived here a longer time than any other person, except Colonel Jonathan Hughes, the salt -sack boy of 1798.
Licking County, Ohio History Licking County ,Ohio was formed from Fairfield County, Ohio c. 1808.

Ephraim is said to be buried in La Salle Co.,Illinois, as is John Green , s/o Benj. Sr.
Ephraim Chambers Anderson (1810 - 1896) - Find A Grave Memorial
However, this states , born Washington Co.,Oh.
Could this Anderson family have originally lived in Washington Co.,Ohio ? Is this the same Anderson family ?
So who is Ephraim Anderson b.1825 - Fallsbury, Licking, Ohio per the 1850 census?
-----------------------------------------------
Ephraim Chambers Anderson no connection found : E. C. Anderson to Sarah's #2 husband : Ephraim Anderson ....
Sarah (Green) Glaze married Ephraim in 1817 Licking Co.,Ohio, so she cannot be the m/o E.C. Anderson...
William F Anderson Another mistake...as this states William F. was b. 1807 Licking Co.,Oh.
Sarah (Green) married #1 Henry Glaze in 1810, Licking Co.,Ohio -- William was b. 1807 ,Licking Co.,Oh...
Licking County was formed from Fairfield County,Ohio c. 1808.
Then E.C. was born in Washington County, Ohio 1810..
It's likely Sarah was indeed Ephraim's second wife, if he was about her same age and he may of had children from a first marriage..
Can't verify it...Anderson is a common surname, can't verify William & E.C. Anderson were brothers, and if their father was an Ephraim Anderson ?

Ephraim Anderson mentioned. Might not be the same one though.

Aka Riverview...
Find A Grave: Riverview Cemetery Plenty of Andersons...but not Ephraim C. & wife Rachel...
William F. Anderson: burial : Dayton Cemetery, Dayton, LaSalle, Illinois ?
I2405: William F. ANDERSON (1807 - 1846)
Actually "Dayton - Green Cemetery"
William F Anderson (1807 - 1846) - Find A Grave Memorial Born 1807 Loudoun Co.,Va.?
John Green (1789 - 1874) - Find A Grave Memorial s/o Benj. Green Sr.
Still nothing connecting these Andersons to Licking Co.,Oh....however, John Green was a brother to Sarah (Green) Glaze -Anderson, so is that why an Anderson connection was assumed ?
