"Former Resident of Gratis Takes Life
Edwin Glaze , 60, former resident of Gratis, ended his life Sunday afternoon at the home of Lawrence Wilkins, west of Germantown, where he boarded. He body was discovered hanging from a rafter in the Wilkins' garage. He had been in ill heath for several years.
Funeral services were conducted at Gratis Tuesday.
Survivors include one brother, Isaac Glaze of Gratis."

"Former Gratis Man Takes Life Sunday
"Edwin Glaze, 60, who for many years lived near Gratis, ended his life in a garage near Germantown, Sunday. When Mr. and Mrs. Wilkens, the family with whom he was boarding , returned home from a short
ride, they found his body hanging from a rafter in the garage.
The coroner, Maurice Cooper was called and pronounced that the man had been dead about an hour, viewing the body at 4 o'clock Sunday afternoon. Glaze was said to have been in ill heath for two years.
He is survived by a brother, Isaac Glaze and one sister, Lavida Sparry of Lima."
