"Mr. Danison reported as follows;
Died, at Muscatine, July 14, 1887, of old age, Mrs.Elizabeth Green, age 94 years,4 months and 3 days. Mrs.Green was born in Maryland; came to Iowa in 1840; had lived continuously in Muscatine 46 years. Like most of the early settlers she experienced much of the rough and tumble pioneer life. She was an exemplary Christian, good neighbor and commanded the respect of all who knew her."
