 Conrad Glaze Sr. Will dated 5 -17 - 1831, Will probated 6 - 21 - 1831.
 
"In the name of God, amen, I Conrad Glaze of Hampshire and the State of Virginia being weak in body,
but sound of mind and disposing memory for such I thank almighty God, do make and publish my last
will and testament in Manner and form following, that is to say it is my will that all the lands which I own both in Greensprings Valley and on South Branch of the Potomach with the ferry and all my personal estate of whatever nature it be Sold by my executor, who I shall hereafter name, as soon after my decease as my
executor shall in his discretion think proper and on such credits as he shall think best and most proper and the moneys arising from such sale with all debts due me after all my just and funeral expenses are paid, to be divided in the following manner.
 
First I give and bequest  Unto my beloved son Andrew Glaze one hundred dollars first out of said money
and the balance to be equally divided among all my children except as hereafter excepted. That is to say, First deduct the interest of a bond of Thomas Wallace's for four hundred dollars out of his part which bond I gave to said Wallace, also four hundred dollars out of the part of John Long. Also fifty dollars out of the part or share of Thomas Cathers being money I lent and for which I have no bond or note. And after making the said deductions of the three parts of the balance to be divided as follows: To Thomas Baker the part that belongs or would fall to my beloved daughter Nancy, deceased, one seventh part, to my beloved daughter
Polly Long, after making the deduction above mentioned, one seventh part, To Peggy Wallace after making the deduction one seventh part To Sally Taylor one seventh part To my beloved son Conrad Glaze one seventh part To my beloved son Andrew Glaze one seventh part and to Elizabeth Cathers the other one seventh after deducting from it one hundred dollars of which it is my will that my executor pay to Eliza Cathers the daughter of my beloved daughter Hanah deceased. And  lastly I constitute and appoint my beloved son Conrad Glaze sole executor of this my last will and testament revoking all and forever wills and testaments by me heretofore made. In Witness where of I have set my hand affixed my seal the seventeenth
day of May in the year Eighteen hundred and thirty one.

"At court continued and held for Hampshire County the 21st day of June 1831, This last will and testament of Conrad Glaze Senr. deceased was presented in Court, provided by the oaths of Robert Buck and Benjamine
Martin witnesses thereto & ordered to be recorded and on the motion of Conrad Glaze junr. the executor therein named who made oath according to law certificate is granted him for obtaining a probate thereof in due form, giving securities whereup he with John Brady and John Donaldson his securities entered into and acknowledged bond in the penalty of twenty thousand dollars, conditioned ....for his due and faithful administration of the said decedants estate."
